The one thing I am passionate about...
I enjoy international travel, as well as seeing places in the US that are new to me. I play tennis for fitness, skill, and social interaction. I weight lift and run for fitness. I never miss a chance to go fishing. Volunteering to help young children get off to a good start is also very important to me.
I typically spend my leisure time
Tennis, working out, fishing, talking/e-mailing friends, gardening, taking drives, shopping, reading newspapers, keeping up on current events, finances, law cases in my former field and others.
The most influential person in my life has been
Kindness mixed with patience that extends to all.
The first thing people notice about me
That I'm friendly, speak my mind and heart without reserve, and extend concern and caring even to those that are not friends of long standing.
The last book I read and enjoyed
I generally have several going at once, that span the range of history, religion, psychology, current affairs, etc. Sometimes, I don't get to the very last page and "finish the book". I can see where it's going before the end.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- Being born in the US
- Being born in the 20th C.
- Having the difficult experiences growing up in NYC
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
That I can be funny in a unique (peculiar/idosyncratic?) kind of way. But they do catch on after a brief time.
Friends Describe me as
Articulate, Caring, Genuine, Intelligent
A little more about me
That I can get very fixated on a project or quest for some item or event. I will sometimes be penny-wise and pound foolish to get exactly what I want, when I want it. On the other hand, while a bit over the top, most people applaud the effort and result, once it's in.
