More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I absolutely love animals as much as people. I am artistic - designing jewelry, silversmithing, lapidary. My sons are my greates accomplishment.

I typically spend my leisure time

Doing silversmithing & lapidary, spending time with my dog, watching TV & reading.

The most influential person in my life has been

Intelligence and humor. Knowing that a life really lived includes some mistakes and that the road to being myself was not an easy one - being willing to let me be what I've accomplished.

The first thing people notice about me

I think I have an open and accepting attitude that people pick up on. If you ignore someone or minimize their existence, you just might have lost your next friend.

The last book I read and enjoyed

"Kate Remembered" - the book puslished about Kate Hepburn after her death. I appreciated her originality and unwillingness to give up who she was for the opinions of others.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My sons
  2. My ability to like myself a lot
  3. Work that I enjoy

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That I'm really as caring as I am. I sometimes mask that with humor.

Friends Describe me as

Creative, Funny, Genuine, Intelligent

A little more about me

I've been single a long time - raised two great sons alone - am pretty independent but really don't want to spemd the rest of my days alone. My last significant relationship, who is still a friend by the way, said I was a "handful". I chose that to be a compliment. I'm probably not easy, but I'm truly worth the effort.
