More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I love reading fiction- Steinbeck, Tolstoy, Nelson DeMille. I love food- eating it of course, but preparing it also- especially while I'm sipping on a nice little wine. I love music- different types for different moods/activities such as Pink Floyd, Stevie Wonder, Pearl Jam when I gotta get going, and Billie Holiday, Etta James, Smoky Robinson when I'm taking a hot bath. At other times it's Gershwin, Bob Marley, cool jazz, classic rock and rhythm & blues. It's all good!

I typically spend my leisure time

Reading, Exercise, Cooking, Walking around, movies and music, goofing off.

The most influential person in my life has been

Chemistry and kindness. BOTH!

The first thing people notice about me

I'm a good listener,friendly and non-threatening.

The last book I read and enjoyed

East of Eden by John Steinbeck - a saga about two families living in turn-of-the-century America. One of the best books ever! Reading it was like having a spiritual experience! I loved it!

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My health. Cliched but so true.
  2. My appreciation of the simple, basic things in life. A good meal, a good book or movie, a walk around town, makes me feel good. I don't need a lot of "stuff."
  3. That I'm a New Yorker. I like visiting other places, but I always like coming home to NY.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I'm smarter than people think. Because I have an unassuming and simple manner, people tend to underestimate me. I have common sense which is a lot less common than the everyday academic achievements of most people.

Friends Describe me as

Caring, Good listener, Passionate, Perceptive
