More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I really enjoy music. I usually have a radio or CD going and I play guitar to classic rock radio. I'm a big Beatles fan but I enjoy a lot of music from blues, classical, some country and even musicals. There's nothing like seeing a great band on a night when everything is clicking.

I typically spend my leisure time

I'm kind of a tv news junkie if there's nothing else to do. But I'd rather spend time with family, go to the beach, (slowly) jog, play guitar. I enjoy watching Grand Valley football or Griffins hockey. I usually have a good book going. I'm lucky to have traveled a bit (London is my favorite city) and I've still got a million places I'd like to see. I used to have a sailboat and it would be nice to have one again. I don't mind spending time alone but it would be nice to have some company and someone to share their adventures with me.

The most influential person in my life has been

I'm looking for someone with balance. I'd like someone smart yet kind, pretty but down to earth, independent yet loving. Even good attributes can be too much without balance.

The first thing people notice about me

I think most people find me a nice guy who is comfortable to be with.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I just finished Mitch Albom's "The Five People You'll Meet in Heaven". This is a great little story about making sense of the twists in our lives. In the book, a seemingly nobody finally understands what his life was all about and how he was touched and touched others. I found it a sweet thought provoking story I couldn't put down.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Number one is my kids, I can't imagine my life without them.
  2. I've had a mostly great life where I've seen and done a lot interesting things.
  3. That I still have all my hair!

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I'm a big guy who works in business but I think a lot of people would be surprised to learn I've got a creative artistic side.
