More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Life Quality. By this I mean seeing how the Lord can use two or more of us, ordinary folk, to change living from the benign market place mentality to a life full of awe and splendor.

I typically spend my leisure time

Playing card games with friends, walking, talking, drives in the country (Music Included), television (Movies Preferred), working on projects, volunteering my time and some exercise.

The most influential person in my life has been

Someone who knows the difference between "Happiness" and "Joy." Communication, the ability to talk and share without reservation, to me means we have the opportunity grow and stay together. Happiness is earthbound but Joy is from above.

The first thing people notice about me

If I were to guess I would say, most people would think that my friendliness, earnestness and openness make up part of my first impression. I also have been told that I have "one of those radio voices," it is deep.

The last book I read and enjoyed

"The Measure of a Man" by Gene Getz. It is very short, insightful and it contains many truths about living as a man of God. It is a Legacy for me, Being one I had given to my Father twenty years or so ago. About 1 year before he died, my Dad, tried to give it back to me, not remembering it was from me originally. Unfortunately it was lost in a flood. I recently met a retired Minister, who republishes 100 yr. old books, who located 4 copies for me and three companion books as well, The Measure of a Woman, The Measure of a Church and The Measure of a Familly. I am looking forward to checking them out as well!

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My abillity to see past the circumstance in living and to create the positive living perspective that God is.
  2. The Lord abiding with me through ALL things, His tender mercies and perseverance with me. Even with challenges to my health and security, He is still perfecting and shaping my life.
  3. The Lord has shown me many things can happen in a lifetime. While I don't always understand, at a given moment, what He is doing in my life, I do have faith in the Weaving process He uses. I am also thankful for the personal touch of blessing. He uses people to accomplish His loveing works. He uses us, as individuals, to provide a truly growing relationship in an interactive one with Him.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That I am a man with many facets. A person isn't only how you see them in a specific situation or context. Coming from a management background, I have been told I make a definite impression; there is a lot to me that I hope is seen over time.

Friends Describe me as

Funny, Genuine, Perceptive, Rational

A little more about me

I am durable, playful and love loving. I have a "Rationalist Temperament" And enjoy the process of communicating as much as the result.
