More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I tend to be passionate about a lot of things, but right now I'm most passionate about my field, my family and friends, my faith and music, all in different ways.

I typically spend my leisure time

During the week I tend to be a homebody, but on the weekends I still love exploring the museums and international pavilions in Balboa Park, going on long half-day hikes, biking and just exploring things that I hear about.

The most influential person in my life has been

Someone who is positive and generally self-reliant and whose faith goes beyond Fox News, Republican politics and the jingoism that is so prevalent in the church these days. Someone whose faith is equally strong and accepting of others at the same time. Oh, and someone who loves to laugh. A little brainy and topical isn't bad either. Is that asking too much?

The first thing people notice about me

My sense of humor or my observant, quiet side, depending on the situation.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I recently re-read "The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat." The combination of wit, insight and humanity in describing such bizarre neurological cases also reminded me of why I am in the field I'm in, even if they are different. I also read "The Time Machine Did It" by the guy who has written more Simpsons episodes than any other writer. I liked it simply because it made me laugh and had a sense of humor that really couldn't be copied.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My family
  2. My closest friends
  3. The variety of experiences God has allowed me

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I think a lot of people write me off as conservative at first glance and because I'm usually a little reserved at first. Once you get to know me, people know that's certainly not the case.

Friends Describe me as

Energetic, Funny, Intelligent, Spiritual

A little more about me

My subscription on here runs out on April 11 and I won't be renewing. If you're interested, please contact me before then. I was born and raised in Denver so yes, I am still a Broncos/Avalanche/Rockies/Rapids fan. I also tend to be a bit outside the "mainstream" in my tastes and always appreciate finding others who are as well.
