The one thing I am passionate about...
At this point in my life, I am most passionate about the discovery of my seemingly unlimited capacity to love. I am thankful to my daughter and my friends for showing me this and allowing me the opportunity to share with them.
I typically spend my leisure time
Leisure time, what exactly is that? I can always find something to do. For personal leisure, however, I enjoy reading, going to the movies, or out to dinner with friends.
The most influential person in my life has been
The most important quality that I believe another person could possess encompass respect, understanding and strength of character.
The first thing people notice about me
Other than my appearance, the first thing people notice about me, unfortunately, which is not at all the person that I am, is my no-nonsense attitude.
The last book I read and enjoyed
I truly enjoy autobiographical works and recently finished "Talking to Myself" by Pearl Bailey, best known for her portrayal of "Bess" in the Broadway musical Porgy and Bess. However, I am currently reading the second installment of Tolken's Lord of the Rings trilogy "The Two Towers", which I hope to finish before seeing the movie.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- Good health: most people take this for granted, but proper diet and exercise is crucial.
- I am also thankful for my family; they can always be counted on in a pinch.
- Mostly, I am thankful for my best friends. They are few, but faithful.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I really wish people would notice my warmth and strength as a person. While I believe those to be my true identifiers, they do not come across until after lengthy communications.
Friends Describe me as
Dependable, Generous, Hard Working, Intelligent
A little more about me
Until last November, 2003, I had been a Law office manager, managing a staff of approximately 30 people in NYC. Since September 11, 2001 the the economy has prompted the office to significantly reduce the staff. I have as a result accepted a teaching position and have since then become a member of the prestigious New York Teaching Fellows program.
