More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

My daughters-rasing them to be the best they can be is my number one job until they are grown. My work-I'd like to feel like I have made a difference. justice, health...

I typically spend my leisure time

Listening to music, reading, taking hula dance lessons, surfing the internet. I love to travel, especially to tropical locations where I can scuba dive and then relax on the beach.

The most influential person in my life has been

Compassion for others and himself.

The first thing people notice about me

I am quiet and reserved initially. I open up once I am more comfortable.

The last book I read and enjoyed

"S is for Silence" by Sue Grafton. It is a murder mystery series that follows the same private detective through the books. I got hooked on it a few years ago. I enjoyed the "DaVinci Code".

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My children - they add so much to my life and helping them mature brings me joy.
  2. My sanity (This is necessary with a stressful yet enjoyable job, and being a single parent.)
  3. My health I can't take care of the above 2 things without my health.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

The depth of my character. (Honest, compassionate, optimistic, intelligent, silly, etc...) I feel like I am a diamond in the rough. There is much more to me than meets the eye.

Friends Describe me as

Easy-Going, Good listener, Intelligent, Modest

A little more about me

"Often we can achieve an even better result when we stumble yet are willing to start over, when we don't give up after a mistake, when something doesn't come easy but we throw ourselves into trying, when we are not afraid to appear less than perfectly polished. By prizing heartfulness above faultlessness, we may reap more from our effort because we're more likely to be changed by it. We learn and grow and are transformed not so much by what we do, but by why and how we do it." That quote by Sharon Salzberg seems to be relevant to dating. There can be a lot of stumbling along the way towards finding a match, but it will be worth it.
