More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I'm passionate about learning, especially when coupled with travel. I love reading about history and places I haven't explored, and walking all over a new city or area -- visiting museums, historically significant places and beautiful settings. I enjoy new activities and time for contemplation but derive great enjoyment from small twists on daily life.

I typically spend my leisure time

I enjoy biking and walking/hiking, reading, watching movies and trying new restaurants with my friends (especially interesting ethnic fare -- Indian, Thai, etc.)

The most influential person in my life has been

I hope to meet someone who dreams big and tries hard to make those dreams reality, who is kind and earnest, and who loves to explore the world and learn.

The first thing people notice about me

At first others find me perceptive and kind and a bit on the quiet side (I listen carefully and enjoy meeting new people).

The last book I read and enjoyed

The Prize (D. Yeargin) is a fascinating story about the history of oil -- it's a funny and perceptive book and has a great account of the demise of the Axis (and the impact of low fuel stores) and the genesis of many of the countries in the Middle East, as well as the stories of many of the big Houston energy companies.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Opportunity to travel and explore the world
  2. Job that allows me to learn and serve
  3. Family and friends

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

My sense of humor! People often tell me that the first time they met me they didn't realize that I have such a wry sense of humor and love to joke around.

Friends Describe me as

Hard Working, Intelligent, Thoughtful, Warm

A little more about me

I have an erratic schedule and have to work quite a bit in the office, but I'm also very understanding about unpredictable schedules and demanding jobs.
