More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am passionate about many things however, the three things aside from my faith in Christ that really stand out are spending quality time with friends, traveling, and listening to really good music.

I typically spend my leisure time

My favorite thing to do when I am not working is spending time with friends. It doesn't really matter what we are doing however, if it were up to me, I like to watch movies, go roller blading, take long walks, go for bike rides, or find a cafe to talk.

The most influential person in my life has been

Besides wanting to meet someone who is a faithful Christian and who is looking to raise a Godly family, I need to find someone who is able to acknowledge and accept the flaws in both of us and instead of being defeated by them, see us both as "works in progress". I also need to meet someone who keeps humor in the relationship. I LOVE to laugh (at myself and at life in general)!

The first thing people notice about me

I have been told that I am very approachable and easy to talk to.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Well, I do different types of reading in the different "compartments" of my life. Being a fourth grade teacher, I read a lot of books with my students. Some of the most recent are "Because of Winn-Dixie", "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever", and "In The Year Of The Boar And Jackie Robinson". For church, we are presently doing a short "chopper-view" of John Bunyan's "Pilgrim's Progress" so I am currently reading excerpts of that. My favorite overall author though, without a doubt, is C.S. Lewis. Aside from the Bible itself, his writings have taught me more about the Christian life and faith than any other author.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My relationship with the Lord
  2. My friends
  3. Music

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

Because of my outgoing personality, people don't realize that sometimes I can be quite shy and need to be drawn out at those moments.

A little more about me

Even though I am now living in CT (near NYC), I have lived all over the United States. I am happy anywhere as long as God's people are nearby and I can get to the water (ocean, lake, river) easily.
