More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am most passionate about serving the Lord. In that I am passionate about people, especially those who are less fortunate. I learn so much from spending time with them, and have found that it means so much to them just to give them your time. There are few things that bring greater joy to my heart than to see them smile.

I typically spend my leisure time

Spending time with my family, trying a new recipe, helping out with the neighborhood children, hanging out at the library or bookstore, walking/jogging, gardening, or volunteering.

The most influential person in my life has been

It would have to be a love for God. If he is in love with the Lord, THAT is irresistable. Nothing is more attractive than a man in love with the Lord! Other things matter, but that one is essential.

The first thing people notice about me

Hopefully my interest in them. I find I have something to learn from everyone I meet, rich or poor, young or old. That, along with my happy and optomistic personality.

The last book I read and enjoyed

The last one? Well, I have this bad habit of starting too many books at a time, so I'm not sure which was the last one. But one of the most recent books I've read was Keeping Faith written by a father and son. It follows the son as he joins the Marines, and goes through bootcamp, and the changes he goes through, as well as the relationship between he and his father. It really touched me, as my little brother joined the Marines about 3 1/2 years ago,and until I read this book, I had no idea all that he went through, so it gave me a whole new respect for him.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. The gift of salvation. Without God's grace I don't know how I'd make it through a day.
  2. My family. I can't imagine my life without them in it.
  3. The opportunity to travel and live in Cambodia and Colombia and do Missionary work.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I don't know, that's a hard one. My mind I geuss.
