More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I really want to know God more. I am always so jealous of people who seem to be able to talk to him and hear him almost like you hear another person. I wish I could have that so much. I'm on the journey, but I want more.

I typically spend my leisure time

Hanging out to me means conversation- I like see exhibits, enjoy nature, shop, eat, and hang out in all kinds of situations- but while TALKING! My favorite places are museums, the beach and the woods, and coffee shops and when I have one- a porch.

The most influential person in my life has been

Smart and brave and quirky and creative. I would love to meet a fellow artist.

The first thing people notice about me

I'm a nut.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I read Gregory MacGuire's "Mirror Mirror". You know, I didn't love it-too much incest and blood-puke. But the way he uses words is so clever, and I like that. After that I read a whole bunch of Newberry award winning books (to preview them for my students) and then I cried and cried because they were so poignant. Those childen's books are surprisingly honest and wise.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My loving freinds and family
  2. My totally cute apartment
  3. My fun and meaningful job

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

Nothing. I like the process of getting to know people and vice versa. The things we find out about each other don't have to happen right away.

Friends Describe me as

Creative, Energetic, Intelligent, Perceptive

A little more about me

I happen to really like teaching science, but I moved to Los Angeles to try and get my paintings into a gallery, and that is still an important goal for me.
