More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Close Friends, My Cats, Movies/Theater, Art.

I typically spend my leisure time

At home, mostly movies & reading. On weekends I either clean house or get out for a little adventure. I spend a few weekends a year volunteering at public service events (parades, car races, horse endurance rides, etc) helping to provide emergency and support communications. Thats where some of my pics are all from. I might dink around on the computer a bit playing games or looking for intersting things on the internet. Most of my liesure time is pretty much as a homebody, but I love to get out for both simple and grand adventures now and again. The most important thing about any adventure big or small is to share it with friends or family.

The most influential person in my life has been

Solid communication about anything and everything. Someone who is able to openly and honestly communicate all of their innermost desires and fears, hopes and dreams; from the trivial and mundane through the insightful and poetic.

The first thing people notice about me

That I love a good conversation about anything.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I read pretty heavily, everything from trade journals and techinical non-fiction to the latest horror thriller or Fantasy/SciFi best seller. I'm crrently reading The Road by Cormac McCarthy - very interesting so far.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Intimate Friends
  2. Loving Family
  3. Wonderful Pets

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That I'm NOT superficial. Sometimes people get the impression that because I like nice cars or other misc. 'things' that my life is focussed on 'stuff' Although I enjoy nice stuff it could all go away tomorrow and I'd hardly notice. Essentially, if someone broke into my home tomorrow and robbed me blind, my only true worry is that they may have hurt my cat.

Friends Describe me as

Articulate, Genuine, Good listener, Loyal

A little more about me

I come from a loving family with parents who are still together after almost 50 years of marriage. That length of committment is not always rosey, communication, support, alone-time, together-time; all in the midst of both the good and the bad is incredibly tough work! Though I will likely never realistically be able to have a golden anniversary, I hope to follow there example one day.
