More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I find passion in many things - in fact, I try to find passion in everything I do. I am committed to looking at life as constant progression, a lifelong learning experience. It seems like the majority of life people are trying to find happiness, and I guess I've come to realize that life is about 'moments' of happiness, it's not really a state of being.

I typically spend my leisure time

Working (which is sometimes unfortunate) lately interferes with my leisure time, but that should level out soon. I like going to the gym, swimming, Pilates, reading, traveling, soaking in time with my friends and family.

The most influential person in my life has been

This is a loaded question :) Overall, I am looking for genuine compatability. Relationships are difficult, everyone has attributes that are more and least favored. At the end of the day, I'm looking for what everyone else in the world is looking for...I am looking for someone who can make me laugh, someone who can share my genuine enthusiasm for life, and someone who is committed to doing remarkable things together.

The first thing people notice about me

People seem to notice that I like to have fun. My name is Arabic and it means happiness...I'd say that's true and telling. I've often been noticed for my vitality, 'contagious laughter'...I'm a playful girl, I like to tease and have a good time.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Shopgirl by actor/comedien Steve Martin. He writes about a wallflowerish girl, 28, who's on a quest to find love. It's a melancholy and witty love story that centers around how pain changes our life, for the better.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. People that I have shared my life with - Family and friends have given me strength and shaped my character
  2. Educational background
  3. Career

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I think I have such an upbeat exterior, people think something is wrong when I'm withdrawn. Usually in these moments, absolutley nothing is wrong. I'm just taking it in, watching, listening, learning. Sometimes I'm expected to be "on" when I just want to lay back or shut down.

Friends Describe me as

Articulate, Caring, Happy, Intelligent
