More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

My passion in life is related to my career: teaching/writing. I find great satisfaction watching my students improve from the beginning of a course to the end or from year to year. I am also a passionate student....I enjoy learning new things and taking classes which are out of what I consider my talent zone, such as tap dancing and painting with water colors.

I typically spend my leisure time

Reading, house projects, quilting, yoga class, gym etc.

The most influential person in my life has been

For me, it is important that a partner be an active listener and a conversationalist. It's nice to brainstorm together regarding life's possibilities, whether the discussion revolves around how to spend joint funds or what to cook for dinner on a given evening.

The first thing people notice about me

It is easy to engage me in small talk.

The last book I read and enjoyed

One book on my all time favorites list is Mutant Message Down Under by Marlo Morgan. It is the story of one woman's journey into the Australian wild with the aborigines. What I liked most were the descriptions of the culture of the aborigines, especially the way they command a true respect for nature. The metaphor of regeneration by leaving material things behind is an important one in today's over consuming society.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My family
  2. My yoga teacher and my health
  3. My job

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

Although I might seem like I am in a hurry, I am usually serene and willing to offer my time to those who ask me for anything.

Friends Describe me as
