More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Adventure - learning - doing. I want to meet someone who can bring out the best in me and I in her. I really want a relationship with someone that is intimate emotionally, spiritually, socially, physically, and sexually. I want to meet someone who is open, fun, active, and playful, but also someone who wants to contribute to making the world a better place for all of God's children.

I typically spend my leisure time

Barefoot - indoors and outdoors. I love the sun and heat. Gardening, fixing, tending my 4 horses on 10 acres, fishing, tenting, cross-country skiing, going to movies, reading, traveling to Europe and across the USA.

The most influential person in my life has been

Playfulness: physically active, agile, and strong. I love to hike.Someone who is trustworthy, honest, reliable, and spiritual. I am looking for a friend that cares, listens, and wants to do things.

The first thing people notice about me

I think most people notice that I act much younger than my age. Most of my closest friends are 10 to 20 years younger than I am and I enjoy being with them and doing things with them more than my peers: Weird, huh?

The last book I read and enjoyed

THE DEAMON IN THE FREEZER by Richard Preston - a true novel about the threat of viruses like smallpox and ebola naturally and in biological warfare. What I most liked was the educational nature of the book based upon factual names, places, and dates.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My spiritual faith which has sustained me after my wife's death at age 55 from breast cancer.
  2. My children, family, and very close friends.
  3. My health and ability to enjoy life and travel.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I wish a lot of people would know that I'm not thinking what they think I am thinking. I'm very unassuming and nonjudgmental.

Friends Describe me as

Caring, Good listener, Physically Fit, Spiritual

A little more about me

Yes. Long fingernails really turn me off !!!! As I try to figure out what God wants me to do with the rest of my life, I would like to find a partner who would enjoy biking around Europe, doing a service project like AIDS education in Africa, touring the USA for 2-3 months of the year and spending the rest of the time with and near our grandchildren.
