More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am passionate about the arts. The visual arts, architecture, music, and literature all create an emotional chord and are part of our history and of our future.

I typically spend my leisure time

Museums and galleries, theater and concerts, reading, quilting, watching baseball, canoeing, sailing, cooking, decorating. I love fireworks, fairs, a good clam shack, and homemade pies. I love to travel, see new places and revisit old favorites. I like barefoot backporch parties with family and friends, but also delight in the glamour of dressing up for an elegant evening: the opera, a five-star restaurant, a gallery opening.

The most influential person in my life has been

A loyal, loving, warm personality; intelligence and wit; a diversity of interests and the willingness to try new things.

The first thing people notice about me

I'm a little bit shy, so I'm not always really sure what it is that people are noticing about me.

The last book I read and enjoyed

"The Roots of Desire," by Marion Roach. Sort of an owners' manual for redheads.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. my extended family
  2. my home
  3. the acts of kindness shown by others in unexpected situations

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

My intelligence and the diversity of my life experiences.

Friends Describe me as

Affectionate, Creative, Intelligent, Sweet

A little more about me

I recently had spinal surgery, and it taught me not to take ANYTHING for granted: be passionate about what you do, live in the moment and plan for the future. When all else fails, laugh and keep moving forward.
