More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I enjoy playing golf and working on improving at the game. It's frustrating for me to play the game for as long as I have and not be much better than I am.

I typically spend my leisure time

My favorite leisure activity is playing golf. I also ride my bicycle on the weekends. (I completed a one day 130 mile ride from Half Moon Bay to Big Sur last summer.) I also enjoy snow skiing and water skiing. When the weather won't cooperate, I read just about anything.

The most influential person in my life has been

The most important quality that I look for in any relationship is honesty. I try to not keep secrets in my relationships that would lead to strain in the future.

The first thing people notice about me

Probably that I'm shy until I feel comfortable around the person. I'm not really introverted, but sometimes I'm quiet and mostly nervous when meeting new people.

The last book I read and enjoyed

My favorite book is Fountainhead by Ayn Rand. It's about an architect that struggles to keep his integrity and is extremely talented compared to the rest his competition. His designs however are always overlooked as too complex or unbuildalbe. As it turns out, the most successful architect uses his designs and is eventually exposed. I liked the fact that the protanganist finally gets the recognition he deserves and the theme that eventually, if you work hard, you get what you deserve. There are far more complex ideas in Ayn Rand's books that are interesting conversation topics.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My immediate family including my niece and nephew who make me laugh whenever I spend time with them.
  2. Opportunities available to me during the past few years and what I've been able to make of them.
  3. Having the friends that I have that are loyal and knowing that they care for me.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

Several people have thought that I'm rude or unfriendly when they first meet me. I think they might not realize that I'm initially shy and it's misconstrued to be rude.

Friends Describe me as

Dependable, Funny, Genuine, Hard Working

A little more about me

I'm hard working and have travelled and worked all over the country. I have also worked for a stint in Ireland and Europe for a period of 10 months. I enjoyed the experiences from my travels and work experience over the past 10 years, but the amount of work and travel that I did took away from the opportunity of meet that special person to settle down with. That is my only regret, that because I was working as much as I was, I missed out on other opportunities.
