The one thing I am passionate about...
For me, it is working with street dependent children and adolescents. I am seeking to expand my scope of work internationally in Latin America. I enjoy sparks of awareness stimulated through literature, self-development and imagination. I enjoy photography, playing on my guitar, spirituality, sensuality, red wine, starry nights, the awesome wonder of existence, raindrops, the sounds of the ocean at night, music not of the ordinary, serendipity, the mirth of children unfettered by meaningless societal delineations, and the moments that bring uncontrollable, unstoppable laughter.
I typically spend my leisure time
It depends on the season. During the summers, I enjoy going to Central Parks Summer Stage, New York Philharmonic, Carnegie Hall, Shakespeare plays, and discovering new and interesting music at clubs throughout the city. I will also go on long weekend road trip to have a quiet getaway or to discover something new to do. During my winters, I head out to Maine and go snowboarding, and if it is too cold, seeking warmth in another climate. I can also appreciate spending quiet time at home. It depends on my mood and the season.
The most influential person in my life has been
I am attracted to confident and ambitious women; she should be independent and passionate and driven by all the things that personally move her, whether large or small. I am also looking for someone who is always seeking to improve herself and seek continuous growth.
The first thing people notice about me
I have been told that I have very nice eyes.
The last book I read and enjoyed
I enjoyed the Collected Works of Jorge Luis Borges. He wrote about a short stories, poems and essays that all interconnect with each other like a puzzle. Each story has a hidden message about life, love and expanding your awareness, yet that is only part of the message. To truly know and understand the hidden message, you must delve into all his works, his own personal labyrinth and piece together the message. One message he presents is that to truly know someone, one must refrain from asking questions that are fluid and changes over time; one needs only ask only one thing. What stirs your soul? So, in this life, what is it that stirs you?
The three things which I am most thankful for
- Waking up in the morning and starting a new day.
- I appreciate the gift of being able to hear and be dazzled by music and conversation.
- I am thankful of my sight enabling me to witness spectacular sunsets, starry night skies and the beauty all around me.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I never really thought about this. I need to give it more thought. Honestly, I do not spend time forcing or wanting someone to notice a quality that I have. I believe that who I am will emerge based on your observations. People often present themselves one way and act very differently. Words create interest; action reflects demonstration.
Friends Describe me as
Ambitious, Good listener, Sweet, Thoughtful
A little more about me
I feel it is important we both have our independence. Too often, I have seen my friends give up their happiness in order to accommodate their partners needs. While in the beginning, it may feel right; in the end, something is always missing and it is the self. I would never ask anyone to give up whatever makes them happy for me. I believe two people can be happy accomplishing their dreams, while supporting and complementing each other. I revel in the accomplishments of my friends, family, past and future partners. Seeing it, feeling that, makes me happy; it energizes me and affirms that my own vision is just on the horizon, as will yours.
