More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am passionate about the state of the world and the injustices that millions of people endure. I desperately want Bush and his crowd to lose in November.

I typically spend my leisure time

As a single mom I don't have much leisure time. But here are some things I like to do or would do if I had time: Hang out with friends, entertain, go to restaurants, read, go to movies and live music, watch sports.

The most influential person in my life has been

I am looking for someone who is smart, kind and funny and has good politics.

The first thing people notice about me

That I am articulate.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I have been re-reading "Dombey and Son." Like all of Dickens' novels it is full of unforgettable characters. It is also a very feminist novel, because it is all about how Dombey devalues his daughter and how unfair that is.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. I am thankful for my 6-year-old daughter.
  2. I am thankful for a family that values learning _ not just formal education but staying curious about the world.
  3. I am thankful that I was born into relative privilege, compared with much of the world at least.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That I can be silly and giggly.

Friends Describe me as

Articulate, Funny, Intelligent, Thoughtful

A little more about me

I am not bad looking but I have no plans to preserve my youthfulness through Botox or breast implants. I don't even color my hair _ yet. I'm more Charlotte Rampling than Jessica Simpson.
