The one thing I am passionate about...
Day to day, I'm most passionate about my work. I am the President of my own law firm and my clients, staff and associates depend upon me to make ethical, rational, and correct decisions. Knowing that so many others depend upon me, drives me to excel in my practice, and to remain passionate toward my work.
I typically spend my leisure time
I enjoy sporting events, both as a spectator as well as a participant. Kicking back after work with some friends at a local hot-spot, enjoying dinner or a fine cigar is usually how I will end my week. I very much enjoy culteral events, so I often enjoy frequenting the Performing Arts Center and taking in a good show. Physical fitness is extremely important to me and I prefer getting in a morning workout to get me going. I enjoy good company over my morning coffee, fine cigars, football, beach volleyball, reading and writing, international and domestic travel, and listening to a wide variety of music.
The most influential person in my life has been
My mate must create what I call "a stirring" within me. This is the feeling of sheer excitment and desire to see, speak, and spend my time with the person who stirs me. This person motivates me BEYOND my own personal drive, to a level that makes me aspire to be an all-around better man simpily because she is in my life. Such a "stirring" is scarce and difficult to find in a woman, but my quest for such a woman will not relent until I'm certain that I've found her.
The first thing people notice about me
My unique ability to maintain optimism even when facing extrordinary odds. Too often, when pursuing a good cause, people quit on themselves or others when a successful finish is imminent. I endeavor to exhaust all of my resources before bailing out on any cause worth fighting for. I believe that people generally notice this trait in me soon after they meet me.
The last book I read and enjoyed
"Reading People" It was a fantastic book written by a jury consultant about the different traits, characteristics, demeanors and dispositions of people and how simple "tips" that people reflect about themselves can reveal a ton about their character and honesty.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My faith. The darkest clouds have always been lined with silver as long as I have maintained my faith in God.
- My Parents. Without proper guidance, discipline, and love, I would not be where I am today.
- Close friends that will accept all of who I am, regardless of my short-comings.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
That I am a compassionate and sensitive person rather than the egocentric and cocky person that they may first perceive. Although I don't ever intend it, my self-confidence may be erroneously interpreted as arrogance. I absolutely do not consider myself an arrogant person, but combined with confidence and a "wait-and-see", (aloof) approach to strangers, sometimes gets misinterpreted as being insensitive and disinterested.
