More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

This is probably going to sound cheesy, but I'm passionate about relationships. I'm smart enough to recognize how rare it is for two people to make a connection and to decide to make a commitment to each other. I do my best to pour every ounce of energy into making it work. That and college football.

I typically spend my leisure time

Exercising at the gym or outside. Music is a huge part of my life. It's rare to see me without my headphones stuck in my ear. There's not enough space available here to list my favorite bands/artists. I love listening to live music, anywhere from arenas to local dives. I've been learning to play guitar for about a year now, and am starting to get halfway competent at it. I also have a lovely singing voice, or so I've been told. Otherwise, you can find me fishing or just relaxing on my boat, hiking, or finding something new to try (this year's list so far includes snowboarding, rock climbing, and kayaking).

The most influential person in my life has been

I'm looking for someone who is open-minded; someone who is not so set in their ways that they are unwilling to visit new places, try new food, or participate in an activity for the first time; someone who is willing to consider other people's opinions on important topics such as politics, religion, and college football.

The first thing people notice about me

My reserved nature.

The last book I read and enjoyed

"A People's History of the United States." Let's just say that if you think America's perfect, and are closed-minded about that, this isn't the book for you.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Good health
  2. The only job that I have ever wanted
  3. The respect of my family, friends, and colleagues.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That I'm really a very friendly, down-to-earth person, despite my apparent aloofness.

Friends Describe me as

Dependable, Intelligent, Loyal, Quiet
