The one thing I am passionate about...
I become passionate about environmentalism, child advocacy, giving others the benefit of the doubt, and treating people from all walks of life with respect and dignity. I am extremely open minded and believe in allowing the individual to lead their own lives as they see feel is right for themselves (as long as they do not interfere with the rights of others).
I typically spend my leisure time
I enjoy crafts, crocheting, knitting, reading and learning about new subjects. I also make sure to get a good work out on the mornings I have off. One of my greatest pleasures is cooking Sunday dinner for my family and friends. I love to experiment with new recipes.
The most influential person in my life has been
Kindness and compassion are very important to me. They represent intangible values that are universal to all human beings, and yet at times seem to be underdeveloped and overlooked in so many people.
The first thing people notice about me
Self assuredness. Appearance wise - my friends would notice my shoulder length hair. I've always had short hair, but decided to let it grow last year. My friends who have not seen me for awhile are always surprised.
The last book I read and enjoyed
Marley and Me - When I started reading the book, I thought it was simply a dog story. However, I quickly realized that it was about a family and coming of age, and facing the life issues that we all have to deal with in time. Funny and touching.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My family and friends for their unconditional support and love.
- My health.
- My parents for teaching me the value of open mindedness and compassion.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
That I am very down to earth.
Friends Describe me as
Dependable, Genuine, Good listener, Hard Working
A little more about me
Despite my high idealism, I am extremely pragmatic. I take great pleasure in the "little things in life" - a beautiful day, a phone call from a friend, or a quiet moment in the evening to reflect upon the day.
