More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I feel very passionate about helping others to overcome negative patterns and to see that we are all blessed with a purpose in life. My love of music (contemporary Christian, alternative, etc.) is another passion of mine.

I typically spend my leisure time

Reading is a favorite pasttime of mine and occasionaly I can be found hanging out at a bookstore on the weekend. I also enjoy having dinner/coffee or playing Scrabble with friends, watching independent or foreign films, yoga, running, and spending quiet time with God each morning. Impromptu trips to the beach are great. Traveling and exploring new places is something I certainly desire more of and plan to do.

The most influential person in my life has been

A man whose priority is placing his dependence upon God would be the most important quality. Other important qualities that will hopefully come with that would be someone who is honest, humble, very respectful of others, emotionally available, eager to learn and experience new things, and has a great sense of humor.

The first thing people notice about me

I'm good-natured and easy to get along with.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I thoroughly enjoy reading stories about how people overcome real life struggles, whether they be fictional or autobiographical. Anne Lamott is one of my favorite authors because she is honest yet has a sense of humor about it. Maya Angelou is also someone I have a great admiration for due to her honesty, strength, courage, and faith in God. Currently the only thing I have time to read is my psychology textbook.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My relationship with God.
  2. My good health.
  3. Family and friends.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That beneath the blonde hair, there is an intelligent woman underneath.

Friends Describe me as

Caring, Good listener, Perceptive, Spiritual

A little more about me

Before moving here from Dallas almost two years ago, I gave up a 15-year career in the corporate world to fulfill a strong desire to do something more meaningful. I have also recently returned to school in the evenings to pursue my goal of attaining a bachelor's degree in social work.
