More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am most passionate about being with loved ones, family, friends, those i hold dearest and closest in my heart. Feeling my way and trying to find my own special niche in this world, through giving of myself and trying to live my life to the fullest.

I typically spend my leisure time

Reading, movies, nature walks, sightseeing.

The most influential person in my life has been

The most important quality i am lookin for is that, he has a big heart. What do i mean by that? He really cares about others, and has a bigger dream for his life than making money, or driving a cadillac. On the contrary, he is able to see beyond his needs and has honestly given thought to how he can bless others with and by his life.

The first thing people notice about me

Accent. I am soft spoken with an accent which is hard to place. I am African, but i spent a few years in Europe as a kid which kind of confuses things, because then i sound neither distinctly African, nor caucasian. Also, i walk with a natural sway, something i hate because it does draw notice. And i so dislike notice.I am still working on changing it.

The last book I read and enjoyed

ha ha..., this will tickle you.the last book i read and enjoyed was my college algebra text. Normally i don't always enjoy it. Just depending on weather i got most of the solutions to the questions on my own, without taking a peek at the answers in the back. Last night i did pretty good, so yeah, i enjoyed it. Ask me that when i get to trigonometry and i'll probably be singing a diffent tune. Before that i was reading a harlequin romance, and that was pretty good too. I always enjoy briefly losing myself in a fantasy world of happy endings.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. my family, my loved ones.
  2. the gift of life, health, the beauty of the world in which i live.
  3. the oppurtunities i have had,and continue to have to pursue my dreams in life against many odds.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

Hmmm, i won't say that it matters to me that they do see this right away. Eventually they will if they stick around me long enough.Or if the occasion warrants. That though i am mostly soft spoken and pleasant to be around with a ready smile, i am not so easily swept away by the tide or whim of the moment, nor by people. On the contrary, i have a very set mind of my own, and am not so easily pushed around or brow beaten. I say this because lots of times i surprise people when i do choose to take a stand about issues or things i simply cannot ignore.

Friends Describe me as

Caring, Dependable, Generous, Hard Working

A little more about me

Hmm, not really. I believe i already mentioned that i am a single mom, and i would just tie it up by saying my son is a very important part of me. I feel no shame in being a single parent. Not saying that i am proud it happended this way. No, but it did happen, and i am proud that i was able to stay in control of my life even as i took on the unplanned role of a parent. The shame would be to be ashamed of my son don't you think? So i guess i am just hoping i meet someone open.
