More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I love the feeling of connecting with a person's words in a film or a book. And that feeling is great too when it is accompanied by humor.I feel happy with the world when I encounter anything that is artfully done.

I typically spend my leisure time

Movies, film and cinema! (Really, I haven't been to a movie in about 2 months. Very unusual behavior.) I've been learning a little about boats this summer, and I'm having a lot of fun with that. And this eHarmony thing is very interesting. Kindof like a warped card game -- a cross between Old Maid and Five Card Draw.

The most influential person in my life has been

A man with a great character -- integrity, compassion and intelligence...

The first thing people notice about me

That I laugh a lot, and that I tend to say people's names a lot when speaking to them.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Sadly, I go to the bookstore and pick out about 15 books that I would love to read and never find the time to actually read them. I should learn to stare at the floor and head straight for the Fiction and Literature section -- cut it down to 10. Truthfully, the last book I loved was _The Cowboy and His Elephant_ by Malcolm McPherson, a writer for Newsweek and National Geographic. True story (Nature section!) about a rancher who bought a very depressed baby elephant who had been separated from her herd. When she reached 3000 pounds, he had to give her up. African regional feuds to circus people. Profoundly moving. Goosebumps.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My Family and the high values they place on integrity
  2. My Education and the priviledge of learning for the sake of learning
  3. A Doctor who caught a misdiagnosed illness

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That I don't like silly, unanswerable questions like this one. That's not really true though -- I was a Philosophy major in college. (I have since recovered.)

A little more about me

I guess you should know that I want a baby elephant too!(I've never been married and don't have any children, contrary to what my photo looks like.)
