The one thing I am passionate about...
I am passionate about doing as much as I can while I'm still able to do it. Life is simply too short and seems to be flying by. I thoroughly enjoy doing anything outdoors as am an avid sportsman, am interested in developing wildlife habitat, and protecting the environment. Most people don't spend enough time being good citizens or pay attention to current events. The protection of civil liberties, upholding the entire US Constitution, and political reform are important to me. To me practicing my faith includes being active in my church. Just "being spiritual" isn't enough.
I typically spend my leisure time
Summers I'm either at the lake, working at the farm, or playing golf. In the fall I hunt as much as possible. I'd like to snow ski again in the winter but that time and into spring are very busy for me at work.
The most influential person in my life has been
Someone who is honest and I can trust completely. Also, someone who takes care of themselves physically, spiritually, and intellectually.
The first thing people notice about me
I know a little about a lot of things. I've done, and can do, a lot of things.
The last book I read and enjoyed
A bad habit I have is that I'm always in the middle of more than one book. I've just finished one John Grisham novel and am about to start another, I'm in the middle of a how-to book on reloading, and am "scanning" a book on emergency preparation. Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged" was a life changing book for me that I plan to read again.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My health
- My family
- That I live in the United States
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I'm not as serious as I look.
Friends Describe me as
Articulate, Intelligent, Loyal, Perceptive
A little more about me
I've raised my son on my own, he just turned 18, and is a senior in high school. I'm very fortunate to have two step sons who continue to include me in their lives as we text, email, and talk weekly as well as hunt together. Needless to say, time has flown by and I'm looking at starting the rest of my life soon.
