More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am most passionate about really enjoying life - from the small things, e.g. the wind in my face while I'm riding my bike, a really good belly laugh, being totally engrossed a good book - to the large things, e.g., spending time with family and friends or planning my next big adventure (and everything in between).

I typically spend my leisure time

I love to ride my bike, and take advantage whenever I get a chance. But, in saying that, I also enjoy a variety of things and try to keep a balance. I love the outdoors and any activity that allows me to be outside. I also enjoy traveling, whether it be just a quick weekend getaway, or a longer adventure. I am also very much into reading, and love a good movie.

The most influential person in my life has been

Most important quality? That they don't still live with their parents! Kidding - not the most important, but pretty far up there ;-). Seriously, I am looking for someone who enjoys life, knows how to laugh, loves a good adventure, and knows what it means to be both emotionally and physically intimate. To put it simply - I'm looking for a best friend AND lover. I still believe I can have both.

The first thing people notice about me

I would say my ability to draw people into a conversation. I love meeting new people and am truly interested in what they have to say (well, at least 90% of the time ;-)).

The last book I read and enjoyed

I'm usually reading about 3 books at once - but the one I most recently finished was, "The Life of Pi". It's about a boy's adventure, where certain circumstances lead to him to sharing a lifeboat with companions that include a hyena, an orangutan, a wounded zebra, and very large bengal tiger. It's a very, cleverly written book that shows great imagination from the author. It was a book that I truly could lose myself and have a brief vacation from reality.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My family - even though we have our occasional differences, they truly love me unconditionally.
  2. My friends are like family to me. We are spread out all over the world, but I always feel their love and support.
  3. My experiences in life. I wouldn't trade them for the world.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

This is a tough one, as I honestly have never really thought of this. I guess if I were to say something, it would be that I'm quite tender-hearted. I feel things quite passionately and give 110%.

A little more about me

I love a good adventure (as you may have picked up from some of my other responses), and I truly enjoy my life. Life is short and I believe in really living it. I have so much to offer someone - but just haven't found that "right" combination yet. I am not looking for perfection, as I am far from it - and find perfection can be a bit boring. I'm looking for that someone who I can have a "last call" with (and if you don't know what "last call" means - ask, and I'll explain).
