More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am most passionate about living a life of love, balance, and harmony. I believe in self respect and respecting others for who they are. I attempt to understand this life and how we all contribute to our experience. I love people, animals, plants, rocks, all the earth. I love to laugh and I am willing to be there for the difficult times. I am passionate about living in integrity with who I truly am.

I typically spend my leisure time

I love to hike and spend time out in nature. I like to read and write, lately I've written some poetry. I like to create a balance between outer and inner experience. I enjoy outings to unusual places.

The most influential person in my life has been

I am looking for a person who lives in integrity with himself; who is honest, loyal, and is willing to go the extra mile for what he believes in. Someone who wants to develop a real relationship. One who loves children and family. I especially love kindness and compassion.

The first thing people notice about me

People tell me that they notice my calm presence. That I am there in totality, wherever I may be.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I last read "Girl in Hyacinth Blue" by Susan Vreeland. It was about a three decade span of the lives of various owners of a lovely Vermeer painting of a young girl near a window. Vreeland's use of language is very eloquent; the visuals of the Dutch landscape and the inner lives of her characters were compelling. I was moved and fascinated by her ability to shape her imagination so wonderfully through the written word.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My wonderful loving friends with whom I can talk openly and share my thoughts, feelings, and laughter. My beautiful grandchildren.
  2. My good health; staying healthy with good eating habits and a balanced lifestyle. Taking good care of myself.
  3. My spiritual beliefs and values which are my guiding light in this life.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

In addition to being strong, I also have a vulnerability and deep sensitivity.
