More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am most passionate about making a difference. It doesn't have to be something major, or something that will win a Nobel peace prize, but I am passionate about doing what I can to help improve society.

I typically spend my leisure time

I love to be out and about, but not so much in the clubbing/bar scene. I like to explore small coffee shops and book stores, go to open air markets, try new resturants, walk the dog...I love to go see live, local music. I'm not such a fan of big time groups (Just saw Teddy Gieger and I think the teen girl screaming killed some serious brain cells) but prefer "discovering" local music in free/inexpensive venues. At home I like to read, play around on the computer, putz with my fish tanks and make jewelry.

The most influential person in my life has been

Google the song "21 Things I Want in a Lover" by Alanis Morissette. She just about covers all the bases in that one!

The first thing people notice about me

I tend to be a good listener...that's sort of a side effect of the whole counseling thing.

The last book I read and enjoyed

A High And Hidden Place by Michele Claire Lucas. It's a fictional account of a real massacre that occured in the town of Oradour-sur-Glane, France during World War II.I enjoy historical fiction because it's a way to learn about history that isn't as boring as dirt.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My family & friends -- they light up my life.
  2. My education -- I have learned SO MUCH, and had a chance that many others have not.
  3. Being born in a place where I've always had food, shelter and opportunities.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

My sense of humor and playful nature. I'm a bit quiet(dare I say shy?)when meeting people at first. However, I am by no means a social reject, I promise. I think I'm like my car, it takes a bit longer than the average car to defrost (arg!) and so do I. :)

Friends Describe me as

Genuine, Intelligent, Loyal, Perceptive
