More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am very passionate about writing, talking about books, and reading fantasy and science fiction, including novels, graphic novels, comics, manga (I like reading, to say the least, hehe). I am also a fan of gaming, particularly board gaming and video gaming. I have way too many DVDs for my own good, tons of various TV series and movies that I still have yet to watch.

I typically spend my leisure time

Reading books and playing games, going out walking and having conversations. Catching up on movies and animes, and trying to be silly without being too crazy.

The most influential person in my life has been

A joy for reading and writing, but also just someone who's fine with being themselves and relaxing.

The first thing people notice about me

My goofiness, I can be pretty random at times, especially when I'm having fun.

The last book I read and enjoyed

The Brief History of the Dead by Kevin Brockmeier, I heard about it on NPR and it was incredibly interesting, in that it portrays a sort of waystop for the afterlife, where the people remain until they are completely forgotten by those on Earth. It goes back and forth between this city and what's happening on Earth, primarily in an Antarctic research station. Without giving too much away, the connection between the two places becomes more and more clear as the story continues, as the people trapped in the station struggle to find out what's happening with the rest of the world, and why people in the city are disappearing.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Having good and loyal friends
  2. Being able to understand and help others in their times of need
  3. Having creativity and imagination to never allow me to be bored

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

My kind nature, typically being too giving and lenient towards others.

Friends Describe me as

Easy-Going, Generous, Good listener, Thoughtful
