More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Travelling is my greatest passion; I've been a number of places, and am always looking for new places to explore, both in the United States and abroad. I also pay a great deal of attention to global issues, and to U.S. politics. Finally, I guess I would say I'm passionate about learning new things. I think it's important to stay open-minded... in other words, I don't really care much about cars, but if someone were really interested in cars I'd take the time to listen and learn as much as I can about them before making a decision... if that makes sense.

I typically spend my leisure time

I enjoy reading, listening to music, and cooking. If I feel I have enough money, I love exploring new parts of town and (if I feel really wealthy) shopping.

The most influential person in my life has been

Most importantly, I'd like to meet someone who is laid-back and open to new experiences. I'm fairly opinionated so I suppose whomever I meet would have to be okay with that.

The first thing people notice about me

I suppose people would notice that I seem very reserved. I tend to be a little reserved when I first meet people, only because I'm trying to gain an understanding of who they are. Once I feel comfortable with a person, I'm a lot of fun, or so my friends say.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I read a book from Lonely Planet containing humorous stories written by different travel writers. It was great because I could relate to many of their experiences. When you travel, whether you visit another country or simply cross state lines your experiences can be interesting, humorous, incredibly frusterating, and educational all at the same time. I love hearing other peoples' stories.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. the opportunities I have been granted
  2. my friends
  3. my family

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I'm a bit disorganized and tend to put other people's needs before my own, so most of my acquaintances assume that I woudn't make a very good leader. However, when I am in a situation where I have the opportunity to lead, I take charge in a big way!

Friends Describe me as
