More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Passionate as far as personal intrests go would be art and creating and painting and reading. A second runner up would be outdoor activities, I truly enjoy hiking and biking and gardening. Then would come my love for my animals...2 goats...4 hens..1 rooster...2 ducks...1 bunnie..2 cats...2 dogs and a turtle! Grew up on a farm in the midwest.

I typically spend my leisure time

Leisure time...what is that? Between being the Chaplin for the BoySouts and having an Eagle Scout working on his merit badges and in the high school band; a dozen daycare children from 6am to 6pm; repairs on the house and the yard and garden, fruit and nut trees and all the animals and building a home for teens in another state!! Who has time? So I enjoy hiking with the scouts and music while mowing and gardening and a movie while canning fruits and vegtables and at the end of a long day a pretend trip to a warm island while I soak in the tub! Silence is a gift and to do absolutely nothing is a treasure in my world!

The most influential person in my life has been

Passionate relationship with the Lord, knowing what God has called him to do and knowing that God completes him, not woman. Then Honesty above all and being open to communicate. Respect toward women in the fullness that God create us to be used in His kingdom and the freedom to fulfill that call.

The first thing people notice about me

That my Word is my bond. That I am dependable and reliable and stable. That I am everprestent and living for the Lord.

The last book I read and enjoyed

The Woman Answer by Haggin. I was reacently hammered that "women should not be ministers and teach." Well seeing that I already am Ordained(which was a leading of the Holy Spirit and our church believes in women being ordained and teaching);I came across this book that backed that up. Thank God for men like Haggin and others who truly understand that women are created equal and used equally by God for His good purpose and plan. Afterall He spoke through the mouth of an Ass, He can use any gender or anything He pleases!

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My personal relationship with Jesus
  2. Doing the perfect will of the Father and fullfilling His call upon my life
  3. My two beautiful children that serve the Lord with all of their hearts.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

You know I just don't have anything like that. I run childcare and I interact with new parents on a daily basis. My life is an open book and it is like living in a fish bowl due to the nature of the business in my home. When children come to interview they actually cry not to leave due to the enviornment of love and peace that has been created here. The parents are always surprise at their childrens reactions. To look around my place you see all of who I am and I am content in that.

A little more about me

In 2008 I will hopefully be opening "The Second Chance Ranch' for homeless teens in the midwest. The Lord has promised to send someone to be my partner in this calling. It is what He has trained me up for, through all of the trials and and testing of my life. I need someone that truly has this call in his heart from the Lord. There are many different ways to support such a ministry from the organization aspect, to counseling, to finances, or even just maintenance of the facility; but at the heart of it all must be a call to help homeless teens and help them become God's soldiers for the future generation!
