More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am most passionate about being a good person, I'm not perfect, but I want to be someone others can look up to. I am also passionate about children and education. Since I am a mother and teacher, I want children to be successful. I am also passionate about my career and advancement, both educationally and promotionally. I also love to help people, and I am passionate about being the person someone can count on as being a good listener and understanding. I feel that by my being passionate about the welfare of others is one of my positive characteristics.

I typically spend my leisure time

I normally spend it shopping or taking my children to different places. I go out with my friends sometimes, but not every weekend or week night. I love to read, and I spend time just relaxing, since I work very hard during the week. I also love to talk on the phone and search the internet.

The most influential person in my life has been

Respect. If a significant other doesn't respect you, then he will do all of the things that he feels he should do, therefore, trust, love, and commitment will be a forgotten issue. Being a respectful person is one of the things I am looking for in another person.

The first thing people notice about me

They notice my smile, and warm demeanor.

The last book I read and enjoyed

The last book that I have read and enjoyed is my re-reading The Pearl by John Steinbeck in order to teach it to my 7th grade class. This book is about a man named Kino, and his finding "the pearl of the world." His wife Juana thinks that it is evil, and in fact, Kino changed since having the pearl. He is suspicious of everyone, including Juana, and he even killed someone. The pearl is a symbol of evil and it destroys his family. I liked how Steinbeck uses the pearl as a symbol of greed, and how we sometimes place more emphasis on material riches than on love, family, and happiness.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My children
  2. My career
  3. My ambition and dedication

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That I am an outgoing and funny person.

Friends Describe me as

Funny, Good listener, Intelligent, Passionate

A little more about me

I love to laugh. I love making people laugh, and I enjoy being me. I am a spiritual person, and even though I am not always optimistic, I know that life is wonderful, and I as well as others should be thankful just to see another beautiful day. I also think I'm a sensitive and caring person that wants to achieve a lot in life.
