More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

First and foremost is my faith in God and his Son Jesus Christ our Savior. Without our faith, nothing is possible. My family comes next, my daughter, (only child), my sister and her children. My friends, my work, and my spare time activities, i.e. writing, selling on eBay, visiting thrift stores, and learning about collectables, etc.

I typically spend my leisure time

Reading, writing, listening to talk radio, taking walks, and soaking in the surroundings around me. It never ceases to amaze me about what God has made, form the very simple, to the very complex. I watch movies, but have not watched TV for a number of years. Life is just too short.

The most influential person in my life has been

Honesty, truthfulness, and someone who is non-judgmental. Someone who accepts me for who I am, my faults, my shortcomings, my personality, my good points---the whole package. God is still in the process of shaping who I am, a lifelong process if you will.

The first thing people notice about me

Probably that I am shy and a bit reserved at first. Whne I get to know someone, I will open up and reveal who I am.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Now that's a tough one. I usually read non-fiction books, reference books, books on politics, etc. Am reading "The Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Freedom to be able to practice my faith.
  2. That I have family, friends and co-workers who love me and care.
  3. That despite health issues, I appreciate living life.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That I really, sincerely care about others, family, co-workers, strangers, people in need. Initial shyness slows the process up a bit.

Friends Describe me as
