More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Friends and family. I'm very close with my family and my friends and they are probably the most important aspect in my life. We don't have to go through life alone so why should we?

I typically spend my leisure time

I enjoy reading books and watching movies or documentaries about World War II. I'm a history geek when it comes to that subject. I also enjoy going to the range and shooting some of my World War II rifles.

The most influential person in my life has been

Loyalty and someone who is as comfortable with a 'date night' at home as much as going out.

The first thing people notice about me

I like to have fun. I try to bring a lightness to conversations and everyday, mundane events.

The last book I read and enjoyed

The Fighting First: The Untold Story of the Big Red One on D-Day by Flint Whitlock. I'm a history major at BSU and I love reading about WWII/military history.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. I'm thankful I have such a great family and our relationship is strong.
  2. I'm thankful I have great friends that I can count on for anything at anytime.
  3. I am thankful to have the opportunities I do.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I'm not nearly as intimidating as I've been told I look.

Friends Describe me as

Dependable, Loyal, Respectful, Sweet

A little more about me

There seems to be a preconceived notion about soldiers and PTSD. The movies and TV shows like to depict us as crazy, unhinged people who could snap at the drop of a hat. I've seen too many TV shows where a soldier struggling with PTSD lashes out violently. I do have PTSD but I am no more violent than anyone else. PTSD manifests itself in many ways; some noticeable while others are more subtle. Don't assume anything or treat anyone differently because of PTSD. All we want is to be seen as normal and handle our own shit.

Libertarian
