More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I'm most passionate about my family. I have a very close knit family and I love it. We're in no way shape or form the Cleavers, we swear, fight, agrue and yell, but there my family.

I typically spend my leisure time

I love to fish. I can spend hours and hours on my rusted boat in my secret fishing hole catching crappies. I also love card games (cribbage, canasta, poker) and movies. I spend a lot of time at high school sporting events, mainly because it's my job, but I really enjoy watching and writing about them.

The most influential person in my life has been

Dependability. I don't want to worry that the minute we fight or disagree, you storm out. I do not do the "make-up, break-up" thing. You leave, you're gone for good. I've had too many people walk out on me.

The first thing people notice about me

My energy. I have this amazing ability to communicate and draw people near me. I've gotten many compliments on my outlook on life and my happy attitude.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I'm skimming The Purpose Drive Life. My life is about books (being a novelist and all) and I read up to seven at a time. If one book starts to annoy me, or hits too close to home, I move on to the next one.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My sister
  2. Sense of humor
  3. Life

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I'm not that strong of a person. If people only knew what I was thinking... When I'm going through really hard times, my friends and family just brush it off because "I'm so strong, I can handle anything". Sometimes, I wish someone would just take me in their arms and say "I know what you're going through. I'm here for you."

Friends Describe me as

Easy-Going, Funny, Intelligent, Outgoing

A little more about me

I'm independent aka alone. After two failed marriages, no kids and a big ol' empty house to myself I've discovered hidden talents such as knitting and yelling at the TV. Trust me, it's a gift. I bought a house 12 miles from where I grew up via Canada, Burnsville, Minneapolis and Coon Rapids. There is no place like home. I write for the local paper covering high school sporting events... because I watch more Sports Center than any girl I know. It pays the bills as I work my way through my great american novel.
