More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

My relationship with Christ is my main passion and being involved in my church. I'm also passionate about my new position as a financial specialist with the federal court, which I enjoy very much.

I typically spend my leisure time

I usually spend my free time hanging out with family and friends, watching tv and movies, bowling, walking the dog, riding my bike, reading, etc. I love to be outdoors on nice days enjoying the sunshine.

The most influential person in my life has been

I'm looking for a best friend for life, someone who is committed to having and maintaining a relationship with Jesus Christ. Other qualities I'm looking for is a good sense of humor (in my family this is a must), kindness, gentleness, honesty and loyalty.

The first thing people notice about me

I would have to say that most people notice how I tend to be somewhat quiet when I meet them for the first time. After I get to know them, though, I love to talk and will be open to discussing pretty much anything.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I tend to enjoy reading christian fiction novels. I have several favorites, most of which were written by Ted Dekker and Charles Martin. A favorite non-fiction title I read recently and loved was Eterinity in Their Hearts by Don Richardson. It took me a long time to finish the book, but it was worth it. Richardson really opened my eyes to the ways God has revealed himself to all peoples of the Earth through different types of revelation and through their ancestry and customs. He also addresses science and how it tries to discredit creationism and other topics. It's an amazing read.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My relationship with Christ - I wouldn't be the person I am today without Christ in my life.
  2. My family - I feel very blessed to have the family I was given. My parents are pretty awesome and my brother and sister are like best friends. We have our moments just like any family, but always manage to work through them with the Lord's help.
  3. My job

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I wish people would notice that I am just shy and not disinterested. I actually care a lot about others and feel compassion for them and their situations. I don't usually show this side of myself at first, but the Lord is working on me in this area, teaching me to be more open and transparent with people I meet in daily life.
