More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I love seeing fine art and I like to try to create good art. I like to hike and camp with a group (family and/or friends). I love small children and even if my match does not have any, he must be able to enjoy being around small children.(I don't have any small children, but if I decide to work with them or am blessed with grand children, my partner should feel that this is a good thing.)I love all kinds of animals and would like a partner that loves animals too.

I typically spend my leisure time

Reading, watching TV, crafts, hiking

The most influential person in my life has been

I think that the most important quality that I am looking for is someone that is kind, compassionate and realizes that all people make mistakes and would be willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

The first thing people notice about me

My laughter; I laugh easily, but not incessantly.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Raven Stole the Moon by Garth Stien. It is a story based on Tinglit Indian legends, about a resort that was built in an area already occupied by some of the more agressive spirits familiar to the Tinglits. The spirits stole a little boy's soul and the mother went to great lengths to free her son's soul. I like stories based upon mythologies from all over the world; I have a large mythology collection. This book did a good job of integrating the Tinglet beliefs into a modern setting.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Children
  2. Family
  3. Friends

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I am shy if I am just in a group of people, for instance at a party where I don't know anyone and I don't have a job to do or project to work on. What people don't see right away is that once I have something to do I am very outgoing and warm; if I don't have anything to do and am with people that I don't know very well, I am often percieved as cold & aloof.

Friends Describe me as

Easy-Going, Genuine, Good listener, Perceptive

A little more about me

I firmly believe in religeous tolerance, racial and gender equality, women's rights and I have no problem with same sex couples.
