More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Living life as fully as I am able, making mistakes, loving, learning, hurting, healing. And...music. Music inspires me to passion.

I typically spend my leisure time

Reading and listening to music, writing, watching "intelligent" and/or comedic and somewhat quirky movies, taking road trips (when I have enough time), being outdoors, seeing new things, spending time with friends. I like to be alone at times to wind down, but sometimes going to a sports bar to have a beer with a few buddies can be just what I need.

The most influential person in my life has been

The first thing people notice about me

Laughter. I love to laugh, and the ability to influence others to laugh makes me happy. "I was irrevocably betrothed to laughter, the sound of which has always seemed to me to be the most civilized music in the world."~ Peter Ustinov

The last book I read and enjoyed

The Memory Keeper's Daughter, by Kim Edwards. It kept my attention, and I had a hard time putting it down.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. The relationship I have with my mother, and the sacrifices she's made.
  2. The opportunities I've been given, and have made the most of.
  3. The mistakes I've made which have made me stronger.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

Sometimes, when I'm introduced to new people or visiting a place for the first time, my tendency to be quiet is misinterpreted for disinterest or I'm thought to be snotty. All it usually means is I'm taking everything in.

Friends Describe me as

Ambitious, Easy-Going, Intelligent, Passionate

A little more about me

I'm not stationed at McChord yet. I suppose you could say I'm currently baseless; McChord is my follow-on assignment in 2008, which is when I'll be returning from my year-long deployment to the desert. My life is a little hectic right now as I am preparing for the deployment, but I'm looking forward to living in Seattle when I return.
