More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Challenging yourself and learning new things, learning from others' experiences, insights, and ideas; making people laugh, seeing friends/family grow in life, finding out what you don't know, the feeling you get when you hear your favorite song for the first time, being surprised by people and situations, finding depth in yourself, and feeling younger as you get older

I typically spend my leisure time

I'm always playing sports (tennis, volleyball, flag football, softball) and meeting up with friends for a happy hour. I play the guitar and am always looking for new music and bands to see around town. Stars/Mavs/Rangers games are some of the best events DFW has to offer!

The most influential person in my life has been

A key quality in my experience has been the ability to understand and be compassionate. Understanding to me doesn't mean agreement necessarily, but an interpretation of another person's thoughts, ideas, and motives. If you understand someone, you know how to anticipate, be there for someone, and interpret what doesn't make sense to others. OK, this sounding way to philosophical and deep now, must move on to the next question!

The first thing people notice about me

Sense of humor... that may be a bit presumptious!... but people are either laughing at me or with me... I'll assume it's with me! I have a dry sarcastic humor and John Stewart/Stephen Colbert are my heroes. I somehow think they'd make fun of me if they knew I said that about either one of them!

The last book I read and enjoyed

The Da Vince Code was the last book I read and I think I'm the last one on earth to have read it. Apparently, I've been too busy reading the last book that everyone else has finished long ago so I'm way behind... I don't read so good, I mean well... only kidding.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Family
  2. Friends
  3. The interconnectedness of life

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

People seem to gather that I'm genuine in who I am but they don't understand how much responsibility and trust they can place in me because it's more than most people. If I have a good feeling about someone, I don't hesitate to open up, help out, or be there when needed.

Friends Describe me as

Dependable, Genuine, Good listener, Physically Fit

A little more about me

I'm extraordinarily great... that might be the most critical piece of additional information :) ...of course, I have a biased opinion! - Kidding, only kidding... I'm looking for someone who feels the same way... that is, that they feel special, feel like they have something to offer, and feel they know what compliments themselves and what compliments others... balance and differences are wonderful things in relationships.
