More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am passionate about getting out and exploring the world around me. I haven't done as much traveling yet as I would like, but I have enjoyed the places I have been and am looking forward to seeing more. Even at home I like to get out and experience somewhere new as much as possible.

I typically spend my leisure time

Most weekends you can find me whipping something up in the kitchen. I belong to a CSA, which means I have to find new and inventive ways to use the vegetables I get each week. Other than that I read, watch TV, and spend time with my sister, who lives nearby.

The most influential person in my life has been

I am looking for someone who is generally comfortable with himself and his life as it is now. Someone who is getting what he wants out of life but would like a partner to share the highs and lows that the future will bring.

The first thing people notice about me

People notice that I am smart and level-headed. I am not one to get worked up about the little things that go wrong in life. When people need an oasis in the storm, they know they can count on me.

The last book I read and enjoyed

One book I read recently that I really enjoyed was Spin by Robert Charles Wilson. It's a story about the lives of three friends after the earth is encapsulated in a time-warping membrane. Suddenly the earth is moving through time at a much slower pace than the rest of the universe, and no one knows who or what caused it to happen. I liked this book because it is about the essential human quest for greater knowledge. What is it? Is someone or something responsible? How is it even possible?

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Great opportunities
  2. Financial security
  3. Lifelong friends

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I wish that people would notice that I really want to laugh and have fun. I can be a little quiet around people I don't know well but once I warm up to you, you'll see that I have a great sense of humor.
