More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Friends. My job requires me to travel, so I have a lot of acquaintances but just a few close friends. Making time to listen to and help those who are close to me is very important.

I typically spend my leisure time

Laughing, playing guitar with my friends, watching independent or quirky movies, walking places just to walk there, running early in the morning, Ashtanga yoga when I can find a studio, prowling bookstores for things I haven't read yet, going to concerts or galleries, entering online art contests, traveling.

The most influential person in my life has been

A drive to know more about this world than just what's on the surface. An awareness and inquisitiveness about the mysteries of life that many people don't have. The ability to ask "why?"

The first thing people notice about me

My dry sense of humor.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Carl Sagan's "The Varieties of Scientific Experience". It's transcribed from a series of lectures he gave in the mid-80s, and describes his view of humanity's place in the universe. He starts with a small-to-big overview of just how tiny our world is in the grand scheme of things. He then uses that to show that many of the things we kill each other over are pretty insignificant by comparison.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My family, who loved me and helped me grow to be who I am today.
  2. My friends, for making me laugh and giving me perspective.
  3. My teachers - living and in books - for opening my eyes to the marvels of the world around us.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I'm not funny.

Friends Describe me as

Creative, Funny, Good listener, Intelligent

A little more about me

My Myers-Briggs personality type is INFJ. The job I'm in right now has me out of town a lot. While the traveling part is pretty cool, I sometimes don't have internet access for weeks at a time. If I don't get back to you right away, I may be out of town.
