More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Finding ways to be creative is very important to me. Throughout college I ignored this side of myself and finding it again (or at least trying) has made my life much more awesome. My job is also important to me, probably because it's something I've worked so hard on for the last 3 years. All this probably seems rather cheesy, but it's hard to say without it being so :-)

I typically spend my leisure time

When I have unplanned free time, I hang out with friends or at the local coffee shop and bask in the diversity there. Occasionally I enjoy taking aimless drives to nowhere in particular just to see what's there (the bay area is *perfect* for this).

The most influential person in my life has been

Open-mindedness and empathy. Simple.

The first thing people notice about me

I've been told by a few close friends that my energy and enthusiasm is contagious...which means I get along *great* with 2-year-olds :-PI'm also a colossal goofball given the right people...laughing makes life worth living!

The last book I read and enjoyed

Pattern Recognition by William Gibson. The main character is searching for information about her father (in one way or another), who has been missing since Sept. 11th. Though I've not been in her situation, I found myself identifying closely with her experiences and thought processes. There's quite a bit of commentary on what kind of culture we're becoming, as well as discussion on finding stability in a society that is progressing a little too rapidly in some respects (this ties directly in with the title, actually).

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Living on my own. I've grown more in the last 4 years than in the 6 years before.
  2. Independant Coffee shops, tattered paperbacks, giant cups of foamey coffee. (these count as one item :-)
  3. Good friends and stable family.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

When people learn I'm an engineer, there seems to be an automatic assumption that I'm cold/analytical/someothernegativetrait...This just isn't so.Those who've just met me seem to think I'm sociable and a "people-person". Those who know me well think I'm warm and caring.

Friends Describe me as

Creative, Energetic, Spiritual, Warm

A little more about me

Realizing how impersonal meeting this way can be, please know that I'm not just some guy "looking for a hot date".
