More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

This is a difficult one. Although my career + school take up the majority of my time, my passion really lies in checking off the things I've always wanted to do on an ever growing list. I thoroughly enjoy traveling and am always planning trips when I have a few days off. I like to enjoy the things that I've worked hard to accomplish but at the same time continuously plan what my next adventure will be. I'm at a great point in my life and feel very fortunate to have a good career, great friends, great city to live in - and I like to enjoy every minute of it!

I typically spend my leisure time

I don't think there is a typcial way I spend my time off. A certain amount of relaxing is a must, but I also enjoy going out with friends, going to dinner, visiting the neighborhood bar, seeing movies, attending concerts, etc. As the weather permits, I do enjoy being active outside (running, playing soccer) and taking advantage of living in a city like Chicago (summer festivals, concerts, baseball season, etc).

The most influential person in my life has been

A sense of humor is a very important quality to have. Humor takes shape in many forms, and I enjoy being with someone who appreciates this quality. I think it's important to be able to take a step back and laugh during the many ups and downs that we all go through.

The first thing people notice about me

I think that confidence and a sound personality are traits that people have told me they notice after meeting me. I have a strong sense of who I am and try to remain true to that as much as possible. I also thoroughly enjoy laughing and have been told that my laugh can be slightly contagious.

The last book I read and enjoyed

"How to Think Like Leonardo DaVinci" - not one that most people would go out of their way to buy. It was part of a Creativity class and it's based off DaVinci's teachings. It has really helped me to get a different perspective on problem solving and creative thinking (especially at work).

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My friends, who support me and keep me laughing
  2. My family, who understands why I am the way I am
  3. My career which continues to challenge me and keeps my everyday life interesting

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I can be serious when it's appropriate and am a great listener.
