More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am passionate about maintaining friendships with people I am close to, my job in politics, staying physically fit and mentally healthy, learning new things, and making a difference in our world.

I typically spend my leisure time

Hiking, running, spinning, and any other physical activity, preferably outdoors. I have particpated in many bike trips for charity (AIDS ride 5 times) and I rode from Disneyland to Disneyworld to raise money for CA earthquake relief. I also try to take advantage of the many cultural opportunites we have in Los Angeles. In the evenings, I enjoy cooking, good food and wine, and just spending quality time with friends.

The most influential person in my life has been

Someone who has good judgement and common sense. They go hand in hand and are qualities that are hard to teach someone at this point in our lives. Above all, being with someone who leads an authentic life is critical.

The first thing people notice about me

That I am warm and easy going and have the ability to make people feel comfortable. I can talk to just about anyone.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I read a lot of magazines and tend to read books when I travel. Now that the election is over, I am reading Three Cups of Tea. Prior to that, I read President Clinton's book, Giving. It talks about all of the different ways that people of all ages can give back, and not just monetarily. It was inspirational and educational, and served as a reminder that people feel the most satisfied when they give to others.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My upbringing - supportive and loving family
  2. My friends that I have had since 7th grade
  3. My education

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I am a stable, well balanced person who is happy and has a good temperament. I am ready to be in a healthy, loving relationship when I meet the right person.

Friends Describe me as

Funny, Intelligent, Loyal, Physically Fit
