The one thing I am passionate about...
Continue learning, evolving, working, and playing...always looking to see life from an easier and more harmonious perspective. Finding grace and then finding small ways to give it to those that most need to receive, every day. Always creating in every moment as I recreate who I am. Placing myself in the path that is unfolding, and stepping away from defining the places I need to be. Witnessing my moments and days and when I am not feeling grace, trying to step inside my deep well of peace. Smile
I typically spend my leisure time
Yoga, cooking and baking, reading, connecting with family and friends through dates, phone calls, and emails. Hiking, local classes and events, and the occasional self improvement workshop. Finding ways to help those that could use a lift. Try something new or go back to something let go. Taking time to see nature. Play with flowers and herbs. Watch birds. Listen to their song. Laugh and even sometimes cry. Keeping in touch with myself through a spiritual life.
The most influential person in my life has been
A man of presence and integrity. Who has lived enough life to know himself, and accept what is there. Who will look to improve, as it serves to make his life and those he cares about better. Someone of balance, wisdom, fairness, pragmatism, and humor. A man that maintains an idea of where he is going, while leaving room for the random interventions of life, and having the flexibility to incorporate these wild cards, into the mix. Someone that cares for his day to day living while working at a healthy lifestyle, between partner, friends and family, work, and responsibility to all that is precious in maintaining this life.
The first thing people notice about me
Energy and vitality, eyes and smile.
The last book I read and enjoyed
From cover to cover?! Such a question....since my interests run wide in both fiction and non-fiction, this is a narrow representation, but the last book I enjoyed completely, front to back was "Esalen Cookbook".
The three things which I am most thankful for
- The variant and lush foundation, which my parents provided
- The years spent finding my center, and raising my son and daughter
- My curious nature and unquenchable thirst to learn and improve
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
Sensitivity and softness---I am often perceived as someone of strength, in character and body, but I think this has developed to compensate for my sensibilities.
Friends Describe me as
Energetic, Perceptive, Physically Fit, Warm
A little more about me
Love to dance! Though I tell myself to sign up for lessons, it hasn't happened to date. Love dancing with a partner that can guide me. Love music. Oh yes, love an occasional glass of wine. With the food and the music--and by candlelight. To life and living....
