More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Travel to new places to experience different cultures, history, food, and adventure. Reading about new places even if I don't have plans to travel there. Reading most anything from the local paper, the lastest novel, or a fashion magazine. Cooking or reading about cooking- do you see a theme here? Hiking, skiing, camping -although I tend to be a "bluebird". If it's raining, I'd rather watch a movie than struggle with a campfire.

I typically spend my leisure time

I can be found skiing or hiking on a sunny day. I'd rather stay home and read, cook, or watch a movie on a rainy/snowy day. I'll admit I'm a fair weather outdoorswoman. I go to the gym before work so I won't feel guilty about having Buffalo wings at happy hour. I'd rather spend my evenings with friends or cooking dinner than sweating on an exercise bike.

The most influential person in my life has been

Thoughtful, kind, genuine intelligence. Someone who can think though new ideas and decide for themselves if they want to jump on the bandwagon or politely disagree.

The first thing people notice about me

I'm genuinely interested in listening to them.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Rick Steves' Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. I love his travel philosophy. Travel is about learning, history, culture, food - not shopping. I went to France with a carry-on and a day pack and returned in the same way. The only thing I would have spent more money on is wine.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Friends and Family who are my support network
  2. My home and the beautiful mountains that surround me
  3. The local library that keeps my mind fit and my spirit travelling

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I'm funny in a quiet kind of way. You have to pay attention.

Friends Describe me as

Genuine, Good listener, Intelligent, Perceptive

A little more about me

I'm like a push-me pull-you. Remember Dr. Doolittle? I'm independant, but I'd really like companionship. I don't think that material things are important, but I love clothes. I love to read, but mindless television is fun. I love children and pets, but I don't need them to be mine. I can't tell a joke, but I'm funny.
