The one thing I am passionate about...
***My account expires Nov. 17th, and I won't be renewing. Good luck to all.***I am a Big Sister, with Big Brothers Big Sisters. I'm also registered as a CASA. I believe that children deserve safe and stable adults in their lives to provide them with love, attention and direction. It is vital to our communities that our children are properly taken care of and looked after. I am not one to just sit back and shake my head - I get up and do something to contribute, to find a solution, in the small ways I can make a difference.
I typically spend my leisure time
I love to sing. I enjoy spending time with my friends, whether helping them with their work or having fun. I like to experience new art - architecture, museums, a new band, or books. I like to make crafts. I love to plan events - parties, weddings, romantic dates, you name it. Going new places and visiting national parks, aquariums and the beach. (How I miss the ocean!) I like to write and am contemplating a novel. I have a weakness for Law & Order. I like to play pranks on people and randomly start conversations with strangers to brighten their day.
The most influential person in my life has been
The number one quality is a man who loves God and the Savior, therefore loving and understanding himself. This means that he respects and appreciates others. He understands the importance of the family and the gospel. He also stands up for his convictions and takes care of those he loves. Intelligence is wonderful but having emotional intelligence is even more important. This translates into being balanced, happy and whole, looking for a woman who is too.
The first thing people notice about me
I'm often described in first impressions as intense and strong. If you're familiar with The Color Code by Dr. Taylor Hartman, I'm half Red and half Blue, which will explain alot. I'm a leader, and I also have my warm fuzzy side where I send my guy 3 dozen yellow roses to his office.
The last book I read and enjoyed
I read scriptures on a regular basis, and I am also reading a book called "301 Ways to Have Fun at Work." I like to make my office a fun, happy place for my employees.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My religion. It's very important to me.
- My friends.
- I have a renewed appreciation for the rights and freedoms of the USA.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I'm sincere. The world has too much cynicism and distrust. I actually mean what I say, and I follow through. Some people have a hard time believing in that.
Friends Describe me as
Good listener, Intelligent, Spiritual, Thoughtful
A little more about me
If having someone who will go hunting with you or climb a mountain or playing football with your wife is a dream come true, I'm not the gal for you. I'm too tender hearted to handle being in a pet store, let alone knowing that the man I love is out shooting some poor beast in the forest. Also, I have a chronic illness that limits my physical activity, so I can be your cheerleader, just not your point guard. =)
