More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I enjoy getting out. Nothing in particular - dinner or an event. I've cultivated an interest in wine so I'll look for wine tastings or dinners. Events tend to be small to mid-sized. I'll look for art exhibitions, films, or concerts. And should the opportunity present itself, the occasional sporting event - though I tend to prefer college as opposed to pro.

I typically spend my leisure time

In the summer, I enjoy recreational pursuits. My current interest is golf. I've also enjoyed water sports, jogging, racquetball, and tennis. During the winter, I'll look to tackle a project inside the home - painting a room or tiling a floor.

The most influential person in my life has been

Someone I enjoy spending time with - be it a night out or an afternoon at home.

The first thing people notice about me

My demeanor. I'm fairly conscientious, which may come across as being too serious-minded. Partly true. Partly due to being somewhat laid back - I don't get too high or too low.

The last book I read and enjoyed

"The Cider House Rules" by John Irving. I was looking for something to read and had commented to a friend I wasn't partial to American Lit. My friend suggested John Irving. He's good - I would put him near the top of the list. His style is clean - descriptive, but not overly done.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Family: part of who I am is because of them
  2. Friends: to share the good times and lean on in the bad
  3. Career: I enjoy it and it pays the bills

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

My thoughtfulness. You wouldn't see it right away. Generally, I remember the little things. When visiting, I'll try and bring flowers or wine or something. At holidays, I'll try and give a gift for which someone's been looking or (I think) would be really useful.

Friends Describe me as

Hard Working, Intelligent, Modest, Quiet
